A year from now, I’m optimistic the Warpcast sign up flow will be: 1. Welcome 2. Email confirmation 3. Apple Pay in app purchase 3. Register username 4. Finish profile
Are there challenges to implement this flow with farcaster? Or just not high prio on the roadmap? 1 year seems like a long time for this
i would never pay for a username. that’s like creating another grifting naming system but with “social” aspects. swerve.
Hypothetically, you could just pull email in from Apple Pay. I think you can require it in the payment details card. Welcome: [Sign up] Apple Pay button Select username Done
I get that you are an Apple first developer, but is it safe to assume when you say Apple Pay in app purchase you are inclusive of Google Play Store as well? Also the android app's keyboard overlays the cast text box while typing
Any thoughts on a freemium model? All users skip the payment step and their registration is subsidized. Later, a small number of users upgrade to premium (Apple Pay or otherwise). The premium revenue is enough to cover registration for all the free users, with extra left over.
After email is confirmed, are the emails deleted? Or how long are they retained and why? Can there be a user opt-in to instantly delete the email, at user own risk of losing their account.
Whole bunch of MPC and smart wallets out there for y'all to pick from! Is the payment to cover gas so you can go and run a transaction on their behalf to register their account?
How about free 7-30 days with your username? I've seen these trials work well in paid Facebook groups ($10/month, so 12X more than FC).
