I’ve met a few people that are always wearing AirPods. I can’t get used to it. Is it just me?
How do you feel when someone is talking with you but leaves the ear pieces in?
I always wonder if I’m one of these people. MKBHD says “AirPod people”. I wear mine A LOT. When working, when going for a walk, when washing dishes, when shopping but I take them out when talking to people or when I get to the cashier etc etc.
Don't think they're great for the long-term health of your brain but I may just be a luddite
I've realized it's a bad habit of mine. It cuts away from time spent alone with our thoughts. Wrote more here: https://grantnissly.substack.com/p/airpods-and-shower-thoughts
Could be a hearing aid use. Or a deterrent to leave alone or to suppress traffic sounds )
I always have one out in public. Maybe I'm just paranoid 💀 Generally, I find them uncomfortable (pixel buds, but same difference)
Debating about starting to wear them for hearing support as I have some mild hearing loss from the Army 😅
AirPods are the first mass market AR device. It’s only going to get weirder, get used to it 😃
My oldest daughter used to say to me whenever she saw me on my phone "no phones!". Around June I gave up my phone entirely. Never going back. I stopped hanging out with people who are on their phones. If they pull it out, I emulate my daughter and say "no phones!". Life is much better this way.
Not me. All the current models fall out of my fucking ears and it drives me insane (the original non-Pros were fine and I loved them.)
