Chores. Running around like a chicken with its head cut off doing chores.

Nothing is more productive than a one hour aerobic run outside in the countryside. My best ideas were thought there.

Productive destress is an oxymoron. Only the Puritans could invent such horrors. Make your rest from work more work.

Gym only if doesn’t further strain your nervous system. I’ve found being on the water much more helpful for body+mind eg sailing, swimming, surfing. (helps with endurance and funnily doesn’t strain nervous system afaik)

I have said this before and i have said it again, the best way to destress is to try and hurt someone while they try and hurt you, and the end revel in each others level of depravity, tenacity and skill So, fightclub? Or bjj

My stress comes from abstract thinking in software, so I shift gears to physical stuff. Solving spatial problems and build stuff where the whole problem is in front of you, and your hands are all you need to work it. But yeah exercise too.

In 2021, I played all NES/Famicom games, not 100% finish, but I tried all of them. Then I made a website of screenshots of all those games https://www.v2ex.com/gamedb/nes

I run about 5 times a week for 3-5 miles. I wouldn’t have survived in crypto without it. Some meditation and stretching as well. Ironically the bull cycles cause more anxiety than 🐻 cycles.
