🙋♂️ Big fan. Also started using their new reader product. Very impressive so far
I use Readwise Reader every day. Love it so much that I'm reorganizing the rest of my workflow around it. It reduces attention fatigue for me. I'd sign up for a lifetime subscription without hesitation if it were offered.
Used to use it to sync kindle highlights to notion when I was into that sort of thing. Pretty nifty
Absolutely. I use it constantly to read scientific papers. It's worth twice the cost for me.
used to. no purchase power parity adjustments, hence expensive af wen your own tender has a hyperinflation problem.
Anyone in this thread try Readwise and not like it and/or prefer something different? I currently use way too many apps for content consumption across devices - Pocket, Books, Raindrop, Kindle, Speechify, Medium - and have been looking to consolidate Heard great things ab Readwise but hesitant to port everything over
I am hopeful that this swing back to good RSS readers is a sustained thing—it may just bring about more wonderful independent writers and websites, that may offset the swarming that happens around the big platforms.
yes, Reader has been a game-change as I'm a serial tab opener + integrates nicely with Obsidian.
Another +1 for Readwise, particularly Reader. - Good enough RSS reader. - Read-it-later functionality includes not just articles you send (manually or from feeds), but also ePubs & PDFs. - Highlights sync back to Readwise, and from there to Obsidian, Notion, etc. It's basically the center of the Internet for me now.
Reader is super nice. But would like to know a Matter vs Reader comparison from someone who used both
Been a loyal user for a few years now. The most essential app for bro bing’s life
used to... & now that it isn't clear what apple is doing with books, the cost of switching becomes real envying all the lifelong kindle readers rn does anyone suspect apple could be working on something to kill readwise? I'm gonna die on this hill, satisfied or not.
I do, and definitely recommend it paired with their Reader app (Readwise Reader). They're both great.
Reader is my product crush of 2022 - biggest delight product to use to handle and consume content
Loved Raindrop more! Depends what you’re trying to do though. I’m super into Second Brain type stuff and felt like it didn’t cut it for me
I save everything I read (or want to read) to Reader and love being able to highlight in the browser. Also started up the Daily Review in the Readwise app again a few weeks ago as a healthier thing to do than automatically opening up Twitter and it's been great.
I use glasp.co. It supports Kindle, youtube transcripts as well as anything on the web can be highlighted and captured. I talk about it in my latest paragraph post: https://paragraph.xyz/@fblauer/curate-web-content-and-manage-knowledge-for-research
Founder here, happy to answer any qs 🫡 I think the replies are already pretty solid tho :)
Here is a good comparison between readwise and glasp: https://www.hongkiat.com/blog/glasp-vs-readwise/
