My ideal personal finance app: - Connect accounts with Plaid but data lives in my iCloud or Dropbox (like old school Dropbox) - Cash balance across bank, brokerage, crypto - Public equities with live price data (including pre-market and post-market) - Private investments using Carta, Pulley 409a number
Anybody working on something like this that you know of? Seems like Plaid could add 1-3 fairly easily
My good friend Sujith started this company Roi, best UX/personal finance app I've used thus far: https://www.getroi.app/
We’re building all of that at Roi (getroi.app). Curious to learn more about the storing the data on iCloud/Dropbox piece. We support anonymity today but are researching options for local privacy. I’ll dm you to learn more @dwr !
What about… a google spreadsheet you update once a month / quarter / whatever Very customizable The manual work is a reason to check things
+ RSUs with vesting schedule + bank accounts in multiple geos + collaboration with spouse Then would be perfect
Have you played with Tiller budgeting at all? Pulls a bunch of this into Google sheets so it’s more customizable.
- Fixed income cash flow (daily, monthly income) - Safe withdrawal rate modeling based on current income and backtesting against historical equity performance these tools exist on the web, but no one has been able to cohesively merge it all together. Would gladly pay $25+ per month to not update my spreadsheet
I've been looking for this solution for a while. If I find one I’ll let you know!
I believe Empiric Network is at least working on things like live public stock tickets on chain
